What We help with

Landscape with Animals

Trauma: Our past can greatly influence our present and future. I believe that we can take back control of the future by working through the past. Thought this work can be distressing at times, it can also allow for healing so that our past stays in the past.

Mood management: Feelings are in inescapable part of the human experience. Some are welcome and others we would rather throw out with the weekly recycling. Like or not we will have them, and sometimes they get the better of us. If that sometimes is too often there is a way out. Increasing understanding of emotions and increasing mental flexibility can give us the freedom and safety to learn from all our emotions while staying in control.

People pleasers: Over functioning, a lack of boundaries leading to resentment, and being afraid to ask for what we want or need are all signs of unhealthy relationships. In this case it is often derived from an unhealthy relationship with ourself. However, we can improve our confidence, set boundaries, and re-connect with ourselves again. In this we can find a life and relationships we don't wish to constantly escape.

Stress/overwhelmed:  When people start worrying excessively, this is a sign of anxiety. When angary outbursts or not even sure what’s bothering you, communication can fall apart. Feeling worn out and run down is another sign of stress. It’s almost like your brain is saying, “We can’t handle this anymore, so I’m going to shut down.” We can learn to slow down, relax, build a life you do not feel the need to escape from. Come learn how.

Addiction/recovery: Substance abuse is often a symptom as well as a problem. Improve your understating of your use and take your life back one step at a time. Learn what supports, professional and personal can help you find and maintain a life of recovery.
