Modalities offered

-EMDR: This is a specific therapy approached used primarily to treat PTSD and trauma. It can be effective for a wide range of things. With it's past, present, and future approach to healing it can help take the emotional punch out of some of our most distressing life events; regardless of if they are many min events or one singular large event.

-DBT Skills: This skill set helps people learn to manage life challenges by focusing on skill development in, Mindfulness, Mood management, interpersonal effectiveness, and Distress tolerance. It is a very structured therapy with handouts, and homework. Its goal is to help reduce harmful or trouble some behaviors. I am trained (though I am not certified nor offering full DBT programs) I am able to teach and coach the skills for personal development and use. 

-CBT: This is a therapeutic approach that helps us gain awareness into the core beliefs that drive our automatic reactions to different life events or types of people. As we better understand how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence one another was can change core beliefs that no longer serve us and can increase control over our responses. 

-Motivational Interviewing: This is a type of therapy approach that supports the exploration of unhealthy or unhelpful behaviors. It helps break the power struggle we often have with others who are tying to help us and with ourselves as we strive for change. This can improve our understanding of self and increase control in our lives.  

-CAMS: This is a specific approach to help individuals who are considering suicide. It is very structured and has forms to assist in achieving its goal. It is designed to help you better understand what is leading to a desire to escape and what you can do to build a life worth living as you see fit.
