Ali Watson-Liberty Reins

Ali Watson is the Eagala trained horse specialist for our equine assisted psychotherapy and equine assisted learning program. These services operate out of a barn in West Linn Oregon.

Ali worked for many years as a school teacher before opening her own barn to incorporate her love of horses, teaching and helping others.

Ali and I met in 2019 when a mutual contact shared her love of partnering with horses to help others. We began working together to offer the expertise of horses in the therapeutic process for about 2 years before Ali became my sister in law.

Please note: Ali offers non therapeutic services as well. I do not get any financial gains from any referrals to her non therapeutic services. I do get financial compensation for therapeutic services Living Tree Wellness Center Provides in Partnership with Liberty Reins, LLC. Ali and Liberty Reins LLC, do not get any financial gain for referrals made to Living Tree Wellness Center.

If you are unsure if you want therapeutic or non therapeutic services partnering with horses please reach out. But do note that in order to preserve the therapeutic relationship those who engage in therapeutic services are not able to do riding lessons with Ali at the same time.

My Story

Everyone has a story about how they got here and what they are working to become, and this is the story of how Liberty Reins,LLC got started. Allison Watson, owner and founder, grew up on a dairy farm showing dairy cattle as a young girl and purchasing her first horse at the young age of eight. Though things were not always easy, Ali found there was something about the smell of a horse that broke through all the stink of every day life. This led to a life long passion for horses and the unique partnership they offer. Aa a result of her early horse experiences Ali developed a love of learning and growth. This led to a teaching career that spanned over a decade. It was in her 15th year of  teaching she realized her true passion was helping her students with their personal development more than in the subject she was teaching. This is when Ali opted to step away from teaching and pursue something that allowed her to combine her love of helping others with her love of horses. Liberty Reins LLC, opened its doors in September of 2016. Since its opening Ali has expanded programs to offer not only riding lessons but, EAP/EAL sessions, Equine workshops, Leadership conferences, trail or pony rides, summer camps, and horse camping. Liberty Reins LLC, continues to work toward becoming a non-profit organization that can offer the benefits of sharing a partnership with horses to anyone who is seeking to restore the freedom to be.
