"Sit with animals quietly and they will show their hearts.
Sit with them kindly and they will help you locate yours"--Rambling of the Claury
What Is It?
COME AS YOU ARE. LEAVE CHANGED.
Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) is a form of mental health treatment in which horses play a central part in the therapeutic process. Here are some key distinctions of our EAP program:
-
The majority of work with the horses is done from the ground.
-
We focus on each individual's goals and emotional growth.
-
Interaction with the horses results in betterment of self.
-
Experiences with the horses bring out the biggest lessons learned.
-
All sessions are conducted following a strict code of ethics.
-
Sessions legally require the presence of a licensed mental health professional.

Why Horses
-
Authentic Reflection
Horses respond to presence rather than performance, offering immediate, nonjudgmental feedback that can reveal relational patterns and support meaningful self-awareness. -
Embodied Healing
Because trauma is held in the body, working alongside horses invites experiential learning that supports nervous system regulation, integration, and change beyond words. -
Safe Connection
Through relationship with horses, clients practice trust, boundaries, and agency in a grounded environment—carrying these insights from the arena into everyday life.
